Parent and Student Support    

    “‘I know you!’ I exclaimed happily when I ran into Mrs. Ramseur in 2004. 
    When I was a pregnant 14-year old in 1991, she was my eighth grade science teacher.  That pleasant recollection and her warm openness helped us quickly want to continue getting together.
    Our budding relationship resulted in me being her personal attendant through Easter Seals.  But that’s just the beginning.  
    That baby in ’04, was then 13 and struggling in school.  Mrs. Ramseur spent time getting to know my son in order to discover systems to help him keep his work in order and report to his teachers.
    I became a part of the family; attending family functions.  Mrs. Ramseur is my mentor/confidante; she has helped me navigate college, personal issues and goals for my future.”

    " I am a single Hispanic mother and because of that I have a lot of problem helping my children with homework.  Is very hard for me to understand the language. Ms. Ramseur ever try to help my son with projects, tutoring and writing. She make us feel welcome.  She really is a inspiration for us.

     Dr. Ramseur has been a great help to me in school.  I am currently a senior at Concord High School, and was fortunate to have her as a tutor in science and math.  She uses all resources available to her in teaching; verbal, visual, text books, and technology.  Not only is she a great teacher, but she is incredibly keen on seeing results.  She genuinely cared about my grades in school and has made a positive impact on my high school experience.  I feel very lucky to know Dr. Ramseur and to have learned from her.
